Heather Li

Heather oversees accounting operations and financial management for both MIG and its partnership entities. Her responsibilities include financial analysis, budget preparation, lease management, and supporting the VP of Finance with special projects and financial reporting.

Heather has played a key role in modernizing MIG’s internal operations. She helped lead the company’s transition to a paperless environment, implemented automated workflows, and manages MIG’s company website. Most notably, she led the successful conversion and implementation of the company’s accounting software system, overseeing the project from setup and configuration through data migration, process development, testing, training, and rollout to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities across the organization.

Heather earned her accounting degree from Rasmussen College in Rockford, Illinois. Her diverse background in both commercial real estate and the nonprofit sector brings valuable perspective and experience to the MIG team.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys traveling with her spouse, crafting, gardening, and proudly embracing her role as a cat lady.
